Also called Desu noto in japanese, is a japanese manga that started getting published in 2003, it has then been turned into one of the most popular animes ever produced and started airing in 2006. Anime, for those of you that dont know is “a Japanese style of motion-picture animation, characterized by highly stylized and colorful art” (dictionary.com). Animes are mostly based on japanese comic book prints called manga.

So lets start talking about Death Note, the anime. This anime has been rated as the 2nd best anime of all time by animenewsnetwork.com. Personally I think it should be number 1, and I myself have watched many different animes. Death Note is about a bored high school student (Yagami Light) that tries to create a new world without criminals and bad people. A shinigami a.k.a death reaper, who is also bored drops a Death Note, a supernatural notebook that has the ability to kill anyone if their name is written in the notebook. He soon discovers his adversary L, said eru in japanese. L is a world class dectective, that is known as the trump card in the police proffession, he has solved many different and impossible cases, and takes the Kira case as it is now reffered to. The main excitement and plot also comes from these two main characters and their struggle to decide which of them is seigi, JUSTICE!!!

There are many aspects about this anime that just excite and pull the watcher into the plot. The music is superb, matching every aspect of the plot. I do highly suggest that all of you readers watch this anime. This is no childing cartoon, but a animation masterpiece.
