Well it is official, Takeru Kobayashi, the former #1 competitive eater in the world, crushed the now #1 competitive eater Joey Chestnut. They both appeared in Singapore for Major League Asia’s debut in the competitive eating world. The competition food was chicken satay, which is a popular food in the Singapore area of Asia. Kobayashi won but downing 11 POUNDS of chicken satay while Chestnut could only eat 8 pounds (still amazing). Personally being one of the biggest Kobayashi fan, I was crushed when Takeru lost on July 4th, however he came to show again why he should be the #1 eater in the world. Kobayashi will go back home to Tokyo on Tuesday with a great crystal trophy and approximately 2.2k US dollars. Takeru Kobayashi FTW!

It is with great displeasure that the great competitive eating champion Takeru Kobayashi has lost in the Nathans hot dog eating contest, yesterday at noon at Coney Island on July 4th 2008. Though the competition was very exciting, along with the documentary style commentary from the ESPN announcers and Richard and George Shea. The competition was entertaining by the very least, the introductions were interesting with Patrick Deep Dish Bertoletti sporting an interesting purple suit. The most interesting aspect was Kobayashi’s unique hair due, the mustard and ketchup style color hair. Unfortunately that cool hair color couldnt help Kobayashi win, but the defending champ Joey Chesnut won. I personally think that Kobayashi had creamed Chesnut, that is because i was following the live action and Koby was definetely ahead of Chesnut by atleast 1 hotdog and bun. But, seems like the Shea brothers wanted to make some drama and proclaimed a tie. This is when they had the 5 dog eat off, in which unfortunately Kobayashi lost, but a minimal 1/4 of a hotdog. But fret not however, this blogger will keep on showing his proud for the greatest competitive eater of all time Takeru Kobayashi.
I just wanted to let all the CE (competitive eaters) out there that i just ate 6 pounds of food. Yummy
It was chinese food that i ordered and it was oh so good.
I am a HUGE fan of CE (competitive eating), just wanted to let all you peeps know. So far i’ve been training eating lettuce and watermelon ( soooo gooooood). There are 2 main organizations in the sport (yes it is a sport) AICE and IFOCE. In my opinion, the AICE has better morals and ethics since it doesnt limit its contestants to special contests and doesnt restrict them from anything. But the IFOCE seems better since they are more well known and have been hosting larger and more known events such as the July 4 Nathans Hotdot eating contest. Okay let me tell all of you about my competitive eating career? should i say? I can and i am able to eat a bit more than 3 lettuce heads, which isn’t a lot since they are mostly water. I can eat about 5 pounds of watermelon (pretty good) and i can also eat more than 2 dominos medium pizzas, never tried more than 2 because i need to share the food :(. I can scarf a medium in about 4 1/2 minute maybe 4 if i try harder. So back to the actual sport, Kobayashi and Tim Janus seem like a role model to me because they were probably the original and coolest people i saw on TV. I hope you all know that im in high school, and next school year, they are hosting a pizza eating contest i think. AWESOME!!! i say.
Well i’ve bragged about my eating skills.Tell me about yours
Thanks for reading guys and gals.
