The Beijing 2008 Olympics

The Beijing 2008 Olympics started a couple of days ago. Let me just say that the opening ceremony will probably be one of the most memorable fireworks shows of my life. Even though the 28 steps from the Forbidden City to the Bird’s Nest Stadium was completely 3D published (Though the fireworks happened in real life, it was too dangerous for helicopters to film it, so the Beijing organizers decided to show the television viewers a computerized model of the fireworks). The games so far have been very interesting and exciting, especially the China vs USA basketball game in which 1 BILLION viewers watched. I myself am still waiting for the table tennis matches to be shown because those matches will be ones to watch.

06JulRoger Federer Loses

Well its probably one of the saddest days in tennis history, the great tennis player Roger Federer ranked #1 in tennis for men has fallen to #2 ranked player Rafael Nadal, loosing 6-4, 6-4 ,6-7, 6-7 and 9-7 in the end to loose his 5 year winning streak at Wimbledon. He was compared to the great tennis player Bjorn Borg who won 6 straight Wimbledon titles. Well it seems like everything must once come to and end, and Roger’s winning streak at Wimbledon has come and gone, but like always Federer was as graceful as ever to his rival Rafael Nadal. Now the question will be whether Roger will loose his #1 spot as tennis player to Nadal ( I dont think thats gonna happen)
